Meghalaya Tourism mentions Rai Um and a stairway towards Rasong. Confirm the exact destination, trail condition, permissions and turnaround time with a local guide rather than assuming all village names describe the same route.
Before descending
Carry drinking water, food, grippy shoes, rain protection and a charged phone. Consider your fitness and the uphill return. Do not start in heavy rain, thunderstorms, poor visibility or late in the day.
