How these places fit together
Smit is on the road to Laitlum, so it is the easiest one to add. Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls are both in Upper Shillong and suit a day in and around the city. Umiam Lake is on the road to Guwahati, which makes it a natural stop on your arrival or departure day. Nongjrong needs its own early start, and Rai Um is a guided walk into the valley.
